Seniors Week celebrates older Tasmanians and recognises the contributions we make to our communities. It’s a week of events for older people, all over Tasmania.
This year Seniors Week ran from 14-20 October with an Intergenerational Theme!
Many of the organisations that host events during Seniors Week have events happening year-round. Why not have a look through the guide and get in touch with a local group to find out about getting involved in an activity in your area.
You can download a PDF of the program here.

Have a go at our Seniors Week recipe!
In 2024 we’re excited to have the support of local celebrity chef Massimo Mele. Food can be such a dynamic and powerful way for people to come together, – for Chef Mele, this means making Zeppole (Italian Donuts).  Download a copy of the recipe below and be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page to find out how you can get involved during Seniors Week.
Check out the recipe here.
Download the Seniors Week Chatterbox!
Getting to know people across generations sometimes needs a bit of a prompt to get started so we’ve created the COTA Seniors Week Chatterbox. Designed as a fun prompt to get to know people a little better, you can download a copy here. Simply print, cut, and fold. Feeling a bit out of practice? Download the instructions here.
