Come and join us for Council on the Ageing’s (COTA’s) first Ageing Together Expo! This is a new event for Tasmanians of every age, with a focus on ageing.
The Expo is about more than support services. It’s about recognising the knowledge, skills, experience and contributions older people bring to our community every day, and finding ways to connect and collaborate to fight ageism.
On the International day of Older Persons, come along to C3 Convention Centre, 64 Anglesea Street, South Hobart to explore a range of stalls, activities and talks from community groups, government agencies, businesses and local organisations. Discover practical ideas, programs and opportunities that help people stay connected to their communities and make the most of life.

We are inviting organisations to be part of the expo by hosting an interactive stall, sharing information, running an activity or delivering a short presentation. If your organisation helps people connect, participate and contribute to community life, we’d love to hear from you.
Bring activities, ideas and information that involve older people in your community. Don’t just focus on support, think of creative and meaningful ways to connect, and treat older Tasmanians as equals.
Think of an activity that would give people practical ideas they can take home and use in their day to day lives and community to make a difference.
Think about helping people of different ages come together to change things for the better.
Give people the information they need and tell them about the support your organisation can offer to help them more fully participate in the community.
Small classroom talks expressions of interest– limited sessions
There are two classroom spaces that hold up to 20 people each and there will be up to ten sessions of up to 30 minutes each in which organisations can do activities/talks that need a separate classroom space rather than an expo table in the main auditorium.
