Celebrate Ageing | Seniors Month
A whole month of opportunities to connect, explore and celebrate.
This October, Tasmanians are invited to celebrate ageing with hundreds of events and activities happening right across the state as part of Celebrate Ageing | Seniors Month.
From morning teas and community lunches to art, music, walking groups, workshops, open days and much more, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to try something new, meet new people, reconnect with your community or simply enjoy a great day out, Seniors Month is your invitation to get involved.
Building on the success of previous Seniors Week celebrations, Celebrate Ageing | Seniors Month expands the festivities across the entire month of October, creating even more opportunities to celebrate the valuable contributions, experiences and diversity of older Tasmanians.
The 2026 program will feature hundreds of free and low-cost events hosted by community organisations, councils, businesses and volunteer groups across Tasmania. Wherever you live, you’ll find welcoming opportunities to connect, learn, laugh and celebrate.
The 2026 Event Guide will be available from early September and can be picked up from Libraries Tasmania, Service Tasmania, Australia Post outlets and many community organisations, or viewed online.
Start planning your October and join us in celebrating ageing, building connections and making the most of everything Seniors Month has to offer.community organisations.
