The Burnie District Gemstone Club offers tuition in the cutting and polishing of precious and semi precious gemstones, and also teach the basics in silver smithing to set any hand polished gemstones that members have. The group participates in field trips to fossick Tasmanian Rocks, Minerals, Gems and Fossils.
