Tasmania’s border with Victoria to open at 12.01am Saturday 20 February

Tasmania’s border with Victoria will reopen at 12.01am on Saturday 20 February. Travellers from high-risk premises or locations in Victoria or anywhere else will still not be permitted to enter.

Public Health Tasmania has declared Victoria low risk effective from 12:01am Saturday 19 February, with the exception of remaining high-risk premises. See the list of these premises here. This means travellers from Victoria arriving after midnight on Saturday 20 February who have not visited any high-risk premises can again enter Tasmania.

A range of places and premises in Victoria, New South Wales and New Zealand continue to be designated high risk.

Travellers who have spent time in a high-risk area, premises or location in the 14 days before their intended arrival in Tasmania are not permitted to enter the State unless approved as an Essential Traveller.
