Project Support | Events + Community Engagement – part time

The Project Support | Events + Community Engagement role provides essential administrative, logistical, and coordination support across COTA Tasmania’s major community education, engagement, and awareness initiatives. This includes programs such as Seniors Week, Elder Abuse Awareness, and actions aligned with the Older Persons Action Plan.

The role supports the smooth delivery of events, campaigns, community awareness, outreach activities, volunteer engagement, and project documentation; ensuring each initiative is delivered efficiently, professionally, and in line with agreed timelines and strategies.

  • Fixed term contract, until 30/6/2026*  22.5 hours / week
  • Level 4 .1 Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHCADS) Award

Policy Officer – part time

The Policy Officer role manages COTA Tasmania’s policy responses, proactively working with the CEO and key stakeholders to ensure issues impacting older Tasmanians are identified and represented.

The role works with a high level of autonomy, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with both the Advocacy and Engagement and Care Finder teams to ensure experiences of staff and programs are incorporated into key advocacy areas.  The Policy Officer is expected to proactively seek opportunities for professional development, research and collaborations with like organisations to stay abreast of policy trends and evidence based practices.

The Policy officer provides executive support to the Tasmanian Policy Council, a sub committee of the COTA Tasmania Board.
