State of the Older Nation report released

Attitudes to Ageing survey results
COTA Tasmania conducted an ‘Attitudes to Ageing Survey’ in the latter half of 2020. The survey was designed to increase our understanding of what Tasmanians of different ages think about ageing, and included an online survey as well as a postcard style questionnaire.

Masks now required indoor spaces
From 12.01am Tuesday 21 December 2021 face masks must be worn by everyone aged 12 and over when in public indoor settings in Tasmania. Masks provide an additional layer of protection against COVID-19 for both yourself and others around you.

Public health has declared five areas of Queensland in and around Brisbane and many premises high risk for COVID-19. There are also new high-risk premises in Byron Bay and Suffolk Park in New South Wales.

Check In Tas App – How it works
The Check in TAS app is used to collect information for contact tracing in the case of a COVID 19 outbreak. From 1 May 2021, Tasmanians and visitors will be required to use the Check in Tas app when visiting businesses, organisations or events.
