The Burnie Branch of Tasmanian Family History Society is one of five branches of the Society. We are a non-profit organisation to help people research their family history.
Membership at the Launceston Branch of the Tasmanian Family History Society is for people interested in tracing their genealogy and family history. Members receive the Society's quarterly journal 'Tasmanian Ancestry' and have free access to the Society's Branch Libraries.
The Hobart Branch of the Tasmanian Family History Society have a unique and extensive library collection in a range of formats. The emphasis is on Australian, New Zealand and United Kingdom record, many of which are not available online and some are exclusive. Access to Ancestry.com is available within the library, which is staffed by skilled volunteer members who are always willing to give assistance.
The Female Convicts Research Centre is an online research resource that also hosts research seminars. It encourages research into the lives and experiences of convict women and their children in Van Diemen’s Land. Members of the FCRC gain access to the database and can volunteer to record data.
