Hosted by Damon Young and Ruth Quibell, this podcast will follow the Fullers Bookshop planned Reading Group schedule for 2020, at least until the groups are able to meet again. Keep an eye out for the new episodes each month.
Fullers Bookshop is running a daily guided reading of Shakespeare’s 154 Sonnets, led by their own Dr Tim Jarvis (host of their Shakespeare Group). Those signed up will receive an email with notes and observations about that day’s sonnet each weekday. There is no cost, but you are encouraged to buy your copy of the Sonnets from Fullers.
Men's Resources Tasmania is a not-for-profit, community organisation that aims to support and promote the wellbeing of Tasmanian men and boys. The website has a range of resources available for men from a range of backgrounds, Support pages for men needing assistance, and training opportunities and events.
The Deloraine Community Shed is a great place for community members (both women and men) to develop their woodworking skills in a fun social atmosphere.
The Shed welcomes community groups to visit and invites general enquiries regarding the work they do and what they can provide. Products are available at the door and they attend local school fairs, have garage/events sales throughout the year and take orders. Demonstrations such as wood turning etc. can be provided on request.
Members of Men’s Sheds come from all walks of life - the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands and they would like something meaningful to do with that time. Men can visit a Men's Shed to learn new skills, develop a hobby or just come and have a yarn and a cuppa if that is all they’re looking for.
