Paint the Town Red

John and Leigh Dobson have a passion for teaching and for making art and want to share that passion with the people of Launceston. Step-by-step art classes are relaxed, fun and social. Bring your favourite bottle of wine or drink and nibbles, and leave with memories and a masterpiece. Come alone or with friends. Costs include all materials and canvas.

COVID-19 Stories

The Tasmanian Archives (a part of Libraries Tasmania), and Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG), are are collecting photographs, writing and a variety of objects to capture Tasmanians' experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Your contributions will help capture this moment to help future generations understand the Tasmanian experience of the pandemic.

3000 Daffodils - Daffodil Day

The Cancer Council's Daffodil Day is Friday 28 August, and are asking supporters to cut, sew, stick, glue, knit and crochet daffodils or yellow items to sell this year. They have a guide with ideas to get your started. The aim is to create 3000 daffodils - the same number of Tasmanian's diagnosed with cancer each year.

2020 Yarn Bomb

The Royal Hobart Hospital Yarn Bomb is back this year and though there is no installation date yet because of COVID-19, people can start knitting, crocheting, or making pom-poms now. Help make people laugh, smile and sing during difficult times.

Longford Art Group

Art Group Longford encourages, develops, and fosters the love of art, provide a meeting place for artists and those wishing to learn how to draw and paint. Sometimes visiting artists join the group. Often a model comes along. Guidance is available for those starting out. BYO materials and lunch. Tea and coffee available.

Artists in the Valley

The Huon Valley Artists and Makers Directory is a place for Huon Valley based artists and makers to promote their works to visitors and locals alike. It's a great way to continue to produce art during COVID-19.
