On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, march through Burnie city with COTA Tasmania and passionate people of all ages to support the right of older Tasmanians to live free from ageism and abuse. We finish in the Bass & Flinders Room at the Function Centre with free morning tea provided by the Council.

This year, Burnie joins our World Elder Abuse Awareness Day fold, with a walk, a morning tea and the added pleasure of the  Ageing My Way exhibition – photographs and quotes to start conversations about what matters to us as we age. There'll be walks and refreshments in Hobart and Launceston too.

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, COTA Tasmania is urging people of all ages and genders to call out online disrespect towards women.

A new national website for everyone looking for information about elder abuse is up and running.
